Club members Karl & Darren’s latest questionable life choice.

After days of rain and gales, the sun finally appeared… perfect conditions to repeatedly throw themselves into freezing lakes, scramble up fells in soggy wetsuits, and discovering that neoprene chafes in places they would rather not mention.

The smaller tarns on the course were basically ice baths disguised as race sections, but they managed to survive (just), laughed (mostly), and finished in a respectable 5th place.

A fine day of type-2 fun and frozen bits all round
