At Ironman Leeds over 2,000 athletes took on one of the world’s toughest one-day sporting events. Amongst them was Aaron who crossed the finish line in an impressive 12 hours and 41 minutes, officially earning the coveted Ironman title.

The day began at Roundhay Park lake with a rousing mass start. Battling through a congested and competitive swim, Aaron clocked a strong 1:13 swim time.

The 180km bike course proved punishing, featuring three laps of hilly terrain, including the infamous Black Hill Road—a 1.4km climb with a 15% gradient, made famous during the 2014 Tour de Yorkshire

The final challenge, a full marathon through local villages, tested both body and mind. After a fast first lap, fatigue set in during the middle stages, Aaron still persevered and completed the run in 4 hours and 18 minutes.

The overall finish time of 12:41 marked a major personal milestone, Aaron massive well done!
