You Are an Outlaw!

At the crack of dawn at Holme Pierrepont, our Outlaw athletes — Kate Dewar, Steve Rodgers, Claire Campbell, and Vince Shreeve — plunged into the 2.4-mile open water swim, the first test in this epic full-distance triathlon challenge.

Kate had a particularly strong swim, outperforming her expectations. As the field spread out, each athlete settled into their rhythm, navigating the long stretch with determination.

Once out of the water, it was into transition and onto the bikes for a grueling 112-mile, 3-lap course. Spirits were high, especially with the incredible support from the club at the feed station. Roars of cheers and applause pushed the athletes forward on every lap.

Claire rode strongly early on but, unfortunately, suffered a bike crash and was unable to continue. This was a reminder of the importance of always wearing a quality helmet — whether racing a triathlon or cycling to meet a friend. Carrying a mobile phone is essential too — safety first, always.

And then, the final challenge: the marathon. 26.2 miles of sheer grit and willpower.

After the swim and bike, this final leg demands everything — heart, strength, and relentless mental focus which is what Steve & Vince showed to finish there race to be an Outlaw.

Finishing times:

Vince Shreeve 13:37:56

Kate Dewar 15:14:53

Steve Rodger’s 15:18:15

Well done, Beaver Outlaws! 🦫
