Hosted by EndorphinSport, East Leake kicks off the first triathlon of the season for Belvoir Tri Club especially being one our Club Championship events.
On Sunday, March 30th, in the picturesque Loughborough, Leicestershire, the event celebrated its 21st year.
Participants can look forward to a fast and flat course, with race distances designed to challenge and inspire athletes of all abilities. The friendly atmosphere is perfect for those wanting to spectate as the course is set out so you can see all athletes enter and exit transition for the bike and swim leg of the race.
Steve Moore who took part in the Sprint Tri was pleased with his 400m swim and run time and finished in 01:39:52 finishing faster than 12% of all runners.
Elizabeth Daniels finished in 01:28:11, placing 11th in her age category. Elizabeth was pleased with her run and enjoyed the ever somewhat windy bike course.
It was also Andrew Goddard’s first race of the season, a good start too. Andrew finished 1st out of 95 in his age group!
Really pleased with the bike leg where he improved 3 mins over last year, the change of using a TT bike this time helped, also improving by 1.5 minute on the run, his overall finish time was 01:05:21.
