This weekend, Anne and Sarah took part in the Upton Sprint Duathlon— a key qualifying race for athletes aiming to represent Great Britain in their respective age groups at the 2026 World Sprint Distance Duathlon.
The race featured a challenging mix of terrain, beginning with a 5km run, followed by an undulating 21.5km bike leg, and finishing with a fast-paced 2.5km run.
Sarah was first of the two home, clocking an impressive time of 1:13:52. She narrowly missed out on being First Lady overall by just 1.43 seconds, finishing second behind Marie Bush. Despite the tight margin, Sarah secured second place overall and a GB qualifying spot for 2026.
Anne Walton crossed the line in 1:30 earning a second place in her age category — which also secured her a qualifying place for the 2026 Sprint Duathlon.
A fantastic achievement for both
