In the stunning waters of the River Avon, Devon the Bantham Swoosh took place.
The main event, a 7km open water swim, is famous for its exhilarating finish – the “swoosh” – where the ebbing tide propels swimmers down the river with an unforgettable burst of speed.
Six members of Belvoir Tri Club headed down for the weekend to take part in the Boomerang Swoosh on Sunday – a unique swim of up to 7km up and down the estuary, riding the tidal flow in both directions, the warm, sunny weather added to the experience.
There is also a ‘mini swoosh’ for children aged 8-15.
The event is organised by Level Water, a charity dedicated to helping children with disabilities learn to swim by providing access to one-on-one swimming lessons across the country.
