Track Opening Hours
Please note: Temporary floodlights are currently in use following storm damage to exisiting fixtures. These lights are operated by North Shields Poly and partner athletics clubs. If these clubs are not using Churchill Track, it may not be suitably lit on evenings. Please consider this before booking. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
About Us
Churchill Community Track is 6-lane, 400m, all-weather athletics track with field event facilities, located in Monkseaton, Whitley Bay. There is a pavillion onsite which is home to North Shields Polytechnic Club.
Churchill Playing Fields, where the track is based, has an onsite car park and is a short walk from West Monkseaton metro station. There are seasonal toilet facilities (open Spring-Summer) and a water filling station.
Churchill Track is a TrackMark accredited athletics venue.
Track Opening Hours:
Monday - Friday 7am-8pm (last booking 7pm)
Saturday & Sunday 7am-5pm (last booking 4pm)
Churchill Track Pass - just £40 per year
