Group Training

The club holds a number of weekly group sessions which are either coached or led.  Details are sent out to all members via a weekly email on Sundays.

Unless otherwise specified, the sessions are designed to cater for all abilities.

Please contact us if you wish to attend a free taster session.

Monday:

  • 20.15 - 21.15:  track session (coached)
    • Stantonbury Running track, Milton Keynes
    • After warming up, some technical drills to improve your form and then intervals tailored to your ability.
    • Small charge to cover track hire.

Tuesday:

  • 19.30 - 20.30:  swim session (coached)
    • Leon Pool at Leon Leisure Centre, Bletchley
    • Catering for all abilities
    • Ten week blocks bookable in advance
    • Charge to cover pool hire.

Wednesday:

  • 19.30 - 20.30:  Zwift indoor bike intervals session during off-season (coached)
    • Online via Zwift and Zoom
    • All welcome and no limit to numbers, details and invites posted on Club Facebook page
    • The club has Smart turbo trainers which may be borrowed/hired for a period.
  • Various times:  evening training/social rides during the lighter summer months (led)
    • Regular TT, hill sessions and social rides
    • Details posted on Club Facebook page for invites and routes
    • Free of charge.

ThursdayClub night

  • 19.45 - 20.45:  running (led)
    • Meet at Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre (from 19:30)
    • Several ability groups, with a mixture of tempo runs, hills, fartlek, intervals. 
    • Free of charge.
  • 21.00 - 22.00:  lane swimming (coached)
    • Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre
    • Technique lane for all levels and endurance/threshold squad in multiple lanes to cater for all abilities
    • Eight week blocks bookable in advance with weekly spaces also available
    • Charge to cover pool hire.

Saturday:

  • AM, start times vary
    • Long slow run, the foundation of endurance running, locations vary but generally about 10km
    • Details included in weekly training email and on Club Facebook page
    • Free of charge.

Sunday:

  • AM:  bike rides (led) -  rides and times vary according to numbers and weather conditions
    • Meet at Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre
    • Typically two rides of different lengths and speeds to cater for different capabilities which meet for coffee/cake
    • Groups will aways cycle at the pace of the slowest rider
    • Details posted on Club Facebook page for invites and routes
    • Free of charge.
  • 17.00 - 18.00 and 18.00 - 19.00 lane swimming (coached) during the winter months
    • Bletchley Leisure Centre
    • Eight week blocks bookable in advance
    • Charge to cover pool hire.
