April:

Christopher Rooney Memorial Tournament 

This Tournament commemorates Christopher who passed away in April 2012, son of Club Members Pat & Ann Rooney and brother to Aisling.  Tournament for 7 to 9 years, doubles format.

July:

Wimbledon

Doubles tournament held during Wimbledon, strawberries and cream, and wearing whites preferable.

August:

Junior Club Championship

Junior club championships, singles and doubles, perpetual trophies, organised and sponsored by Jamie Stafford, Head Coach.

September:

Joe Hendley Memorial Tournament

Joe was a Senior Member who loved Tennis and very passionate that junior tennis were very important to our Club.  He encouraged every junior to play tennis.  Following Joe’s death in December 1990, his wife Eileen was very keen to honour Joe’s Memory by way of an annual Junior Tournament.  The tournament is for 7 to 9 years, in doubles format with both winners receiving a perpetual trophies donated by Eileen Hendley.

Conor McKenna Memorial Tournament

Conor was a Junior Member of the Club up to his death in September 1997 at the age of 10 years.   His Family wanted to encourage other young children to play tennis and very kindly Marian & Gerry (Conor’s Parents) sponsored this Tournament in memory of their son.  The tournament is played in doubles format for aged 10 to 14 years, with both winners receiving a perpetual trophy donated by McKenna family.

October to March:

Donal’s Winter Junior League

A monthly competition held on first Sunday each month from October until March. Results are cumulative and the winner of the league will be the person with the most points after the March tournament, spot prizes each month, tournament sponsor is Donal’s Shop, Main Street Gorey.

Junior Tennis League

Internal league, singles and doubles, with promotion and regulation between divisions, organised by the club on its ladder software, run all year round, with new league each month.
