Rock Up & Ride

With support from SPT and Scotttish Cycling, Rock Up& Ride aims to remove the barriers to young people riding bikes, with the impact being felt right across Scotland.

The programme has changed hundreds of lives through cycling, with more and more sites across Scotland giving children the opportunity to cycle. From Inverness to Arran, and from Fife to South Lanarkshire, the programme has been acting on the Scottish Government’s promise to provide access to bikes for school age children who would otherwise would not have the opportunity.

Rock Up & Ride South Ayrshire

We are delighted to be partnering with Scottish Cycling to bring Rock Up & Ride to South Ayrshire this year!

We will launch our project with a a series of fun and free BMX and MTB  sessions aimed at children aged 10-14 years.* These sessions will be the start of six-month programme which aims to generate an increase in cycling across our communities.

*There is some flexibility in the age limits. Please contact activeschools@south-ayrshire.gov.uk for advice.
