Elected Officers
The officers of The Club and an overview of their responsibilities are shown below:
Chairperson – Bobby Willis
The Chairperson takes responsibility for the day-to-day management and decision making on behalf of the management committee. The Chair also facilitates the smooth operation of management committee meetings and has a casting vote if it is needed.
Honorary Secretary – Steven Leeman
The Honorary Secretary handles the basic administration, to ensure the smooth running of the Club. They record the proceedings of all meetings, dealing with all correspondence, ensuring all required licences are maintained and is responsible for all communication from the Management Committee to the general membership.
Honorary Treasurer – David Cunningham
The Treasurer is responsibility for keeping accurate financial records and ensuring they relate closely to the development/business plan. The Hon Treasurer is the day to day financial manager, working closely with the management committee to provide annual budgets and regular financial reports in order to make informed decisions and monitor performance against the budget.
Membership Secretary – Vicki Maguire
The Membership Secretary takes on the responsibility for the management of the administration associated with club memberships, including receipt of membership forms and fees, maintenance of records, reporting of membership information and recommendations on membership categories and fees.
Tennis Convenor/Senior Tennis Co-ordinator - Stephen Smith
The Tennis Convenor/Senior Tennis Co-ordinator is the person who takes on the responsibility for the management of all tennis related activities within the club.
Ensuring that there is a program of tennis coaching, events, competitions and tournaments for all members.
Junior Club Co-Ordinator - Vacant
The Junior Tennis Co-ordinator takes on the responsibility for the management of all Junior tennis related activities within the club. Ensuring that there is a program of tennis coaching, events, competitions and tournaments for Junior members.
Bar Manager – Neil Gallagher
The Bar Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the bar in a responsible and profitable manner, ensuring efficient operation and that the club complies with its licence to sell alcohol.
Maintenance Manager – Mark Daniels
The Maintenance Manager takes on the watching brief over the condition and state of the clubhouse and grounds and is responsible for reporting problems, issues and recommendations to the Management Committee.
Social Co-ordinator - Vicki Maguire
The Social Co-ordinator is the person responsible for developing, co-ordinating and publicise social opportunities for the Club, as well as being a key player in additional forms of fundraising.
Marketing/Communications Officer - Wendy Cree
The role of the Marketing/Communications Officer is to promote the club to the wider community with a view to widening the communities’ awareness, attracting new players and members or even attracting sponsorship, as well as keeping existing members informed about what is going on at the club.
