Spring TRI Camp 2025 came to a close on 9 April after 3 glorious days of training in the sun.
This was another sell out camp, we had our largest attendance with 30 kids in Culloden. We were able to increase our camp numbers and shift kids off the waitlist thanks to our incredible volunteer coaches and SBR (Swim Bike Run) leaders.
It was a group of varied experience and abilities within triathlon. We covered a variety of skills within each discipline. We worked on everything from speed, pacing, reaction and agility to more specific skills; moving with the bike, mounting/dismounting, cornering, group riding, open water swim starts, drafting, swimming around a buoy and more.
We ended the camp with an opportunity to put these newly acquired skills to the test with a Duathlon and an Aquathon on the final day.
The kids impressed us with how quickly they acquired and applied the skills throughout the camp. They showed up everyday with a positive attitude, focus and willingness to work hard and go outside their comfort zone.
A big thank you to Culloden Academy / Leisure Centre for use of the facilites. Thanks again to the coaches and volunteers throughout the camp and lastly a BIG thank you to all the parents for supporting their kids and investing in them.
Triathlon camp meant parents had to get your kids varying equipment to and from camp each day. It meant checking tire pressure, gears, helmet expiry dates, bike chain, lunches, goggles, swimsuit and towels, basically, like packing for a holiday!
We can’t wait for the next one, stay tuned for SUMMER CAMP 2025 dates!
