David joined Portadown Tennis Club as a junior, and he has been with the club for over 20 years where he progressed in his tennis career winning several league titles and he was ranked number one in Ulster under 12 and 14 and 4th in Ireland. David also won the County Armagh Junior Championships held at PTC in under 18 singles and progressed his teaching career to LTA Level 3 & Tennis Ireland Level 2.
In 2022, David took on the role of head coach and director of tennis at PTC.
