Tri-Force Juniors Triathlon 2025

13 July 2025, St Albans

The Tri-Force Juniors annual triathlon returned to Aldwickbury School on Sunday, bringing together 160 young competitors aged 8 to 16 from across the Triathlon England East Region. As an Inter-Regional Championship qualifier, the event featured a strong and competitive field — but it was the atmosphere of support, determination, and community spirit that truly stood out.

Hosted by Tri-Force Juniors (https://clubspark.net/TRIFORCEJUNIORS ), a St Albans-based triathlon club for children and teens, the event saw participants swim in the school’s 25-metre pool before cycling and running across the scenic school grounds. The event distances varied by age group, according to British Triathlon rules. The event was fully marshalled by parents of club members, with professional timing provided by ATW.

Club Chairwoman Suhela Dighe praised the event: “It’s a brilliant example of what children can achieve with the right encouragement and coaching by an immensely dedicated volunteer team. These young triathletes should all be very proud of themselves! For our club, this is the highlight of the season and it’s all hands on deck for club members. A massive thank you to all who made this event another roaring success! We won the award for Children’s Event of the Year in the Triathlon England East region in 2024 and hope to do so again.”

Head Coach Rav Dighe, with a day job as Managing Director of www.alohatri.com, added: “We are so proud of the young athletes we’ve worked with over the past decade. They’ve shown exemplary sportsmanship, determination, skill, and motivation. With many podium places achieved, we are incredibly proud of Tri-Force Juniors’ success.”
