The Ladies Singles League got underway on Tuesday night with Jess Cannon, Sophie Irwin, and Sarah Smith (captain) taking on Civil Service at home.

Jess produced the standout performance of the night, mounting a great comeback from 1-5 down in the first set to take it 7-5, before dominating the second 6-1 to get the win.

Sarah also showed great resilience, recovering from losing the first set to battle back and take the second after finding herself 1-4 down.

Sophie took on an experienced opponent in her first senior competitive match for the club and gained invaluable match experience against tough competition.

The evening finished 1-2 overall in favour of Civil Service, but a great showing by our ladies regardless! 🎾
