Winter League Phase I

Massive congratulations to all players who have given up their weekends to participate in the Winter League over the last few months. We are delighted to have 6 teams in the knockout stages of the competition. Please keep an eye on the whiteboard in the club and Facebook for updates on fixtures.

Winter League Phase II

Winter League is now open for entries. The format will be mixed teams (2 men, 2 women) across grades 1-6.

Match format:
Mens Singles, Ladies Singles, Mixed Doubles

followed by 

Mens doubles & Ladies doubles.

The signup sheet is on the notice board until 30th December. Please ensure you state if you would like to play mixed or singles on the team.

All players must be graded and added to the Munster directory to take part. If any new members would like to get graded, please reach out to one of the club's coaches. If you have any questions, please email tenniscommittee@lltc.ie 

Club Championships Prizes

Club Championships prizes have arrived. If you haven't received yours yet, please text Anne-Marie @ 0858372520 to arrange a collection. 

Turkey Blitz & Christmas Party

Last Thursday, we had our annual Turkey blitz and Christmas party. This year was a massive success, we had over 53 players playing tennis and a busy bar filled with festivities for the evening. 

Thank you to all members for supporting this event and a huge thank you to Sonya Shinkins and the tennis committee for making this event a success.

Big thank you also to our very generous raffle supporters: Gerry Quinn (Fiddle & Bow Doolin), Aoife O'Neill Pilates, Richardsons, Taly Crowe, Doh Pizzeria & Maria Hennessy.

Tennis Committee Volunteers

As we head into 2024, we're reaching out to our valued members for volunteer support. Limerick Lawn Tennis Club is run by its members, for its members and we're counting on your help to make 2024 a success.

There are various opportunities to get involved in, from contributing to the tennis committee, to helping out with new members, Teamer and assisting in organising club events.

Guinness Cup

The Guinness Cup will be hosted on December 28th and 29th. Details will be available on SportyHQ shortly. 

Squash Courts Booking and Maintenance
We are delighted to see the squash courts at LLTC so busy lately. It is fantastic to see more members enjoying themselves on squash courts, especially during poor weather. However, we would like to remind all members and users of some key points when playing squash at LLTC. 
 

• Courts must be booked through SportyHQ
• No double-booking time slots/courts at peak times (16:30 - 20:30)
• If bringing a guest, please add them to your court booking on SportyHQ
• Guest fee is €5, which must be left in the office post box
• Please cancel court bookings when necessary
• Please wear appropriate non-marking footwear when on court
• Footwear must be clean
